Why did you decide to serve the mission at Farm of the Child?

At World Youth Day in Madrid I spent a lot of time praying about what God wanted me to do with my life after graduation. By the time I returned back to school I had decided that I wanted to do missionary work in a spanish-speaking country. I began seriously looking for missionary positions over Christmas break and two of my friends recommended the Finca to me separately on the same day. I read through the discernment packet and realized that Farm of the Child had all of the aspects I was looking for in an organization especially a Catholic community.

What do you hope to experience through your ministry at Farm of the Child?

I am looking for a chance to empty-myself completely for others and for Christ. I hope to experience God’s love and plan for me in a deeper way through serving others.

What are you most excited about/nervous for as you prepare to arrive at the Farm?

I am most excited about living a life of simplicity. I am most nervous about waking up early every morning.
